The Idaho Education Association is the professional organization for people who have chosen a career in education. We are a member-driven organization that provides professional support for educators, advocates for public schools and public education, and seeks to help create the best possible learning environment for students and teachers.

We recognize that children are our greatest resource, and that good public schools and highly-trained teachers are the most important factor in their future success. We also believe that public education is the backbone of our democracy and a critical ingredient to strong communities.

The IEA is actively involved in education on many fronts—advocating on behalf of teachers and students at the capitol, collaborating with other education stakeholders, working with our local associations on bargaining with their districts, providing essential professional development trainings, and raising money for students in need through our Children’s Fund, just to name a few.
